Bomunsan

Yesterday, I rode my bike over to Bomunsan in Daejeon. It was about 100 degrees, but eventually, it clouded up and cooled down a bit.

First, I visited Bulgwangsa Temple. I did a short meditation, looking out at the mountain. I heard a bee that sounded like a monk chanting.

I visited the san-shin side temple and said “hi” to the tiger.

The elderly lay caretaker “nun” invited me in for a Korean iced tea and a bunch of grapes. She put 2 fans on me, and I sat and enjoyed my iced tea. When I handed her the trays, she gave me a plastic bag to take the grapes home.

After that, I stopped by Hyungdongsa, which wasn’t as beautiful, and didn’t have the same vibe.
